Dark & Dramatic and My Zomblors

So the Zombie Workshop and Walk and Rawk went really well. I had a lot of fun, and there are some very talented people out there! I know everyone feels very overloaded with non-Halloween zombies from facebook I'm sure so I will just quickly post some pics from the walk here and then we will get on today's Dark & Dramatic makeup tutorial!

Dark & Dramatic

Today I figured I hadn't done my makeup in a long time, and havn't done anything overly dramatic minus zombie stuff in a while either. Plus I am going out tonight and want to look nice. My hair is still red but its not as bright as it normally is so I decided to put away the slime green colours for once. I've mixed red with red before like on this older post I did, but never really differed on the variant gradients of reds. As you can see from my palette chart I used the darkest red and then some shimmer light and dark browns.

  1.  First off I lightened my eyebrows a little bit too, I used a lighter brown instead of the darkest brown, so they would match my hair colour a little bit better. I started off with just the straight red over the full lid.
  2. Then I took the light shimmer brown, almost a bronze colour and only highlighted the top and inner eyelid. I also added a bit of both the red and highlighter in the center under my lash line.
  3. I then took the dark shimmer brown and in a angle from the top of the far corner, brought it almost the center of my lid. I blended the dark into the red and the top highlighter.
  4. I added some more highlighter to blend at the top and then also added more red to bring it out more. I also added another greener light bronze to my inner eye to make them pop.
  5. The finished product added with my black with gold flake eyeliner and mascara.
I think this is a great autumn look for any spicy & sultry date night. It looks complicated but only basically 3 colours with a 4th small pop.

Hope this will give my date night some spice as well!
