OPI's Pure Lacquer Nail Apps

Today I will be talking about the new OPI nail apps.

I really like the designs offered, a lot of them are definitely my style! Especially the lace, animal print ones and anything black with shiny stuff on it! We were thinking of bringing these in at work, so I figured I'd hop down to the local Cosmo Prof to grab a set to see how they differed from the usual nail stickers that are becoming very popular.

OPI nail apps offer:
  • Long lasting wear
  • Stretchy for a better fit
  • Zero dry time
  • Made of 100% real nail lacquer
  • Adheres to nails in seconds
  • Detailed designs that no salon tech can replicate
  • Can be used on toes
  • Remove with OPI Expert Touch Lacquer Remover
  • Each pack contains 16 strips to fit all nails.
The strips that I bought today are the "Zig Zag Sparkle" from the Shimmer collection.  I really like the pattern on it, when I first saw them(without my glasses on) I thought it was the fishnet pattern. I was excited to see that it is very close but has the purple inlaid in there. They are super shiny and defiantly catch other peoples eye's : I got a few compliments in the 3-4 hours that I was out and about.

When I was putting them on, I found with the cellophane sheet on top of each sticker, and then peeling the sticker off becomes a task without trying to screw up the sticky side of the nail. If you do need to fiddle around with placement on your nails, I found they dry out very quickly. Almost like vinyl stickers meant for your windows, that if you don't get them just right, they don't stick at all. The fact that they stretch does help them fit to your nail and it keeps them very thin so they don't feel heavy on your nails. Another plus to them being thin is that when you get to the end of your nail, its easy for you to rip at the end of your nail away from the rest of the sticker.

I did find throughout the day that some peeled right off, many frayed at the ends, or at least wore off the ends of my nails. These are my nails after the end of the day:

The Industry Source website suggests to use a UV gel top coat on top to seal them in, I will have to try that next time. I still will use the remainder of the stickers for tips or nail art when I have a good idea.

All in all I would say these are okay for a consumer who wants a day of neat nails for a party
or something but they are deffiantely not a long wear product.
