What time is it? Adventure Time Nail Art

Lately I have been obsessed with the cartoon network show Adventure Time.

I also found this tattoo on my pinterest and really liked it. the squareness of the heads made me think it would make a good peek-a-boo type nail art french tip.

seeing as I'm not that amazing and don't have 6 fingers, I had to cut the green guy, "BMO" out.

So I did (thumb to pinkie) Marceline, Finn, Jake, Prince Bubblegum and LSP(Lumpy Space Princess).
this is the variety of different nail colours I used to make my Adventure Time nail art.

so those are my little guys I wanted to try out. But unfortunately I need to take them off for work today. We teach our students that as a esthetician you need you have short, clean nails and no nail polish.

I am very much obssesed with Adventure Time, I even bought a BMO case for my phone!

so click my links below and on the side bar: google reader will be shutting down April 1st so if you still want to follow me you can!

Sparkle Sparkle

After spending the past few months feverishly looking at nail art blogs: I have taken some inspiration from what I've seen. So I started off with the funnest(and easiest) nails I wanted to do:

Sparkles!

I got some of the Muppets colours on sale and had some other sparkle colours that I havn't yet used.

from thumb to pinkie is OPI "rainbow connection", "fresh frog of bel air", "going gonzo", "crown me already" and the last one is Sinful Colors "frenzy". The black base is Avon's "warm black".

I like the Muppets colours but "Crown me already" is my favourite, it picks up the light better and when put on lightly it looks just as nice when its laid on thick. The "frenzy"  looks the best over the black and I can see myself doing this type of nail the most. The Avon "warm black" is a bit too warm for me, has a blueish tint to it and unless given a few good coats, its see through when you hold your nails up.

Now that I have sparkles stuck in my head I think I want to do a next theme of "Mr. Sparkle"

Guess I get my chance to use yesterdays tip from Julep.

Good for Scratching the Blackboard

More Portfolio photos but this time its all about the sometimes sharp, kinda bony things that stick out of our fingers and toes. At one point used as a defence mechanism and for digging. Now we paint them, cut them down, or if you are a coke-head: use them rather then using a spoon or a dollar bill.
Here is my nail art!

Rainbow Nails

Back dating a bit more, I found the photos I took of my whole nail polish collection and when I did rainbow nails.

The nails I did quickly and used: Quo strong bond base coat, OPI alpine snow, Ardene's grapevine, Milani bolting blue, Sally Hansen barracuda, Milani green glow, Sinful Colors lets meet, Nicole the right thing, essie secret story, borghese red, Avon "deep black"
