SST Class

I was able to take a class put on by a professional cosmetics line this weekend and had a blast!

SST is a Canadian professional cosmetics line, and the class was on their new 2013 spring look.
The makeup is a mineral based makeup company, talc, gluten and paraben free. Also animal cruelty free. The makeup itself is made in New York and Italy. 

If you didn't know parabens are cancer causing agents that mimic estrogen hormones, and talc is a filler to mineral makeups that dries out your skin and, gives that cakey look.
Instead of using parabens, SST cosmetics use vitamin E and C as their preservatives. Mica is their replacement for talc, which adds a nice shimmer to the makeup but doesn't reflect the light or highlight wrinkles(other products use synthetic shimmers or fish scales that do reflect the light which aren't good for stage, film or photoshoots).

So for their 2013 Spring look it was more of a neutral look, to go with all styles, because it seems all styles are in right now. Then we were asked to do a more dramatic/evening look. I got to play with their new gel eyeliner and mix it as a eyeshadow and use as a mascara.

This day class was a awesome refresher for me, I like kickstarting my brain to think about things again, and also gave me some great ideas for my class!
